Meta Launches Orion Holographic Glasses in Meta Connect 2024

In this video, we’re diving into the exciting updates from Meta Connect 2024. Meta, under the leadership of Mark Zuckerberg, has once again showcased some groundbreaking advancements in both AI and the metaverse, with a focus on new hardware and software. This year's Meta Connect gave us a peek into the future with innovations like the new Quest headsets, updates to their Llama AI model, and even a prototype for fully AR glasses.

One of the biggest reveals was Meta's Orion Holographic Glasses. These glasses, touted as the most advanced in the world, offer a futuristic experience with features like hand-tracking, eye-tracking, and even a neural interface. Though they won’t be available for consumers just yet, it’s clear Meta is pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in augmented reality. Even Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, has tested them out, showing how serious Meta is about this technology.

Another big reveal was the launch of the Meta Quest 3S headset. Priced at $299 for the 128GB version and $399 for the 256GB version, this new headset is a more affordable option for users, with some great mixed-reality features. The Quest 3S will be available from October 15th. In light of this, Meta is also discontinuing the Quest 2 and Quest Pro headsets, selling the remaining units until the end of the year or until they run out.

Meta AI also made some noise at the event, introducing voice capabilities across platforms like Messenger, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram. Users can now ask questions and get spoken responses from Meta AI. And the fun part? You can choose from celebrity voices like John Cena, Dame Judi Dench, and more.

Meta Connect 2024 has definitely given us a glimpse into the future of AI and augmented reality. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to follow these exciting developments!
